Ceramic Mat Heaters (CMH) are used in many applications, with their primary use being for weld pre-heating. They are produced using 80/20 Nichrome resistance heating wire wound through holes in interconnecting ceramic beads. The bead interconnecting design keeps the heater length rigid while allowing along the heater width to stay flexible, thus allowing conformity to pressure vessels, pipes and tanks. Heaters are stocked in both 60 volt and 80 volt. Heaters are also available in these custom voltages: 25, 30, 40, 70, 120, 240, 277, 300, 330, 380, 400, 440, 480, 550, 575 & 600. Thermocouples are thermoelectric devices used for measuring temperature. They consist of two wires of different metals connected at two points forming an electrical junction. A thermocouple produces a temperature-dependent voltage, and this voltage can be interpreted to measure temperature.
